The tragic final moments of Angus Cloud’s life have been recounted by his grieving mother, Lisa Cloud, who shared the painful details in an interview with People while in her late son’s bedroom.
“He was so beautiful and creative,” Lisa Cloud said. The room, a testament to Angus’ creativity, was filled with his graffiti art. The mother’s love and agony were palpable as she pointed to a paint-splattered wooden desk. “This is where my boy passed away,” she said. The 25-year-old actor, found by his mother, had succumbed to an accidental overdose, a deadly cocktail of fentanyl, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
“I started shaking him and screaming,” Lisa Cloud said, recounting the horrific discovery of her son’s lifeless body. The desperate attempts to resuscitate him, the screams for neighbors, and the agonizing wait until help arrived painted a harrowing picture of loss. “I miss him so much. He was the love of my life,” she said, her words echoing the depth of her grief.
Lisa Cloud provided insight into the drugs that claimed her son’s life.
“It was predominantly the central nervous system depressants. It started to slow his heart and slow his breathing,” she said. Despite the overwhelming tragedy, she emphasized, “But he didn’t kill himself.”
The outpouring of love and support from fans and friends has touched Lisa Cloud.
“He went out at his total power, his total beauty, his total influence, and the reaction that everyone has had is very moving to me,” she said.
The actor’s death followed his father’s demise from cancer, a loss that had deeply affected him and his twin sisters. The family’s grief was filled with memories and love but the loss nevertheless left a void.
“My son and his twin sisters were deeply grieving about their dad,” Lisa Cloud said. “They were all devastated.”
Angus Cloud’s last hours were filled with creativity and connection. He spent time painting a skateboard and creating a memorial with his friend, Daniel Aguilera, for another friend lost to a fentanyl overdose.
