A Canadian woman’s plea for help on a Christian crowdfunding site got a big boost from regular readers of ResistTheMainstream.
A GiveSendGo campaign for an Owen Sound, Ontario woman who identified herself as Daneen Williams has easily surpassed her $6,000 goal after reaching out for help reaching more people. She said, in a GAB text message, she only has 35 followers and asked RTM to share her message with its many followers.
“I have natural immunity but here, in Canada, that is not good enough,” the distraught woman said, adding she has been on unpaid leave for almost four months and is ineligible for benefits. She said her country’s government does not give aid to anyone that is unvaxxed. “I’m about to lose my home I worked 18 years for and two jobs as a single mom.”
Williams, who claims she is 60 percent deaf, said she has worked two jobs for 18 years to buy her house, which she says she is in danger of losing because she has no current income.
“I am feeling very desperate and in tears most of the time, because I do not qualify for a job with the medical mandates they ask,” she said.
In her GiveSendGo appeal, she said a friend told her to put up a campaign asking for help, which she did.
“I need to pay [my] mortgage for February 1st , House insurance, hydro, oil, and I am running out of wood for the wood furnace,” she wrote, adding, “My St. Bernard needs to see a vet, I need Dog food, Cat food. . I have been hand washing for 4 months as my washing machine broke down months ago, and it ran out on its warranty.”
Williams said she is embarrassed to ask for help, but it feels unfair to have worked so hard and saved so long to buy her home, only to lose it because of COVID-19 mandates.
“I’m not lazy,” she declared. “I want to work to pay my bills, but I feel every door keeps shutting on me and now I only have two weeks to pay the bank, mortgage payments and house insurance, or we lose it all. I sold my truck months ago to pay bills.”
More than 150 people have donated more than $9,500 Canadian to her on the site. Apparently, Matthew was correct: “Ask, and you shall receive.”
“You have no idea how much this means to me,” she said after her goal was surpassed. “When I saw all this money coming in, I dropped to my knees and cried.”
“Because of you, we can now keep our home and feed all of us for a short time until these mandates are removed.”
“Bless you.”
