Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband are facing more bad news as former colleagues reveal what it was like working with the second gentleman.
Attorneys who worked at Venable with Doug Emhoff said that he would often scream profanities, prohibit women from his office cocktail hour, refuse work perks for women who would not flirt with him and would only travel in a limousine with young and attractive associates when going to a ball.
Under anonymity, a former senior staff member told the Daily Mail that Emhoff once “bragged” about screaming “get the f*ck out of my office” to one of the female partners at the firm and later shared with his top male colleagues that he “put her in her place.”
“She had to ask him something,” the ex-staffer told the outlet. “His office door was closed. She said to his secretary, ‘is he on the phone?’ She said no. She tapped on the door, he didn’t answer, so she slightly opened the door and stuck her head in.”
“He said ‘get the f*ck out of my office.’”
“What’s worse was he bragged about it to the management at Venable and they were aghast. He’s an asshole. He told them how he ‘put her in her place.’ A misogynist, that’s who does that.”
A former female staffer said that most people knew that Emhoff was “very flirty” and that if women refused to respond positively to it, they were put on his “sh*t list.”
She also accused him of playing “favoritism.”
“There were deadlines that, if you were one of his favorite people, wouldn’t apply,” she said. “But if you weren’t, they would.”
A lawsuit from 2019 alleged that two other partners in the Los Angeles-based firm would partake in s*x discrimination under Emhoff. The lawsuit, which was filed by former secretary Marjan Rabbi, claimed that she was screamed at, humiliated and demeaned.
Emhoff was not part of her lawsuit but was mentioned by name.
Her lawsuit also claimed that he had hired a part-time model as a legal secretary even though she was “unqualified.” His reasoning was “’because she was young, attractive and friendly with the powerful men in the office.”
All of this occurred while he was engaged to Harris.
The latest allegations come as Emhoff has been labeled as the definition of positive masculinity and feminist by the left.
Emhoff was accused of impregnating his daughter’s nanny while married to his first wife, as previously reported by Resist the Mainstream. We also reported the allegations against him being physically violent to a former girlfriend in 2012.
