Hamas is suffering Israel’s wrath in the wake of an Oct. 7 attack on civilian sites in Israel that left more than 1200 dead and 130 kidnapped.
Many have worked behind the scenes to secure the release of kidnapped women and children. Whispers of a possible agreement with Hamas regarding the release of approximately 50 hostages have brought hope to grieving families.
On Tuesday, President Biden was asked about a pending agreement regarding the release of hostages held by Hamas.
The President flashed a smile but declined to disclose any details. The White House has stated that Israel and Hamas were “very close” to reaching a deal to bring some “hostages home very soon,” per reports in the Daily Caller.
Of the nine U.S. hostages held by Hamas, Biden said, “Hang in there. We’re coming.”
During Tuesday’s press conference, a reporter asked: “Mr. President, do you have any sense of how many Americans will be released?”
Biden cryptically replied: “Plenty of time to talk about the hostages. Not now. I’m not gonna tell you.” The President concluded his comment with a big grin.

Politico reported that multiple sources verified a hostage release plan would be announced within 24 hours.
Unverified reports from Israeli sources note that Hamas has agreed to release 53 children and women. In exchange for a four-day cease-fire. The agreement reportedly stipulates:
For each Israeli hostage released, Israel will release three women or teenagers currently held as terrorists in Israeli prisons.
Hamas claims, “Not all the abducted children are in our hands.” Of the 40 missing children, Hamas pledges it will return 30, and will “search” for the rest.”
Approximately 12-13 Israeli hostages will be released each day during the four-day ceasefire.
During the ceasefire, Hamas will “try” to locate more abductees; terrorist leaders stated they believe it is possible to locate up to 80 women and children.
