Joe Biden nabbed the first tiny victory of Election Day winning all 5 votes in a small New Hampshire town, Dixville Notch, that holds a tradition of counting their votes at midnight.
In the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton won the Dixville Notch vote. Then, the town, which is close to the Canadian border, had a total of 8 voters.
Two other areas in the state, Hart’s Location and Millsfield have also historically offered midnight voting.
In Millsfield, which is 12 miles south of Dixville Notch, Trump prevailed early Tuesday, with 16 votes to Biden’s five.
This year marked Millsfield’s 60th anniversary of the midnight voting tradition. The occurrence usually attracts a large media presence with ample food, but the event was scaled back this year over coronavirus concerns.
