Bill Maher, host of HBO’s ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’, suggested that the reason why the media kept quiet about the Hunter Biden laptop stories until after the election was because they wanted then-President Donald Trump out of office.
“Hunter Biden’s laptop was buried by the press, even the head of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, said that was a mistake. They buried the story,” Maher said.
As the New York Post reported, “the host then went on to reference author Sam Harris’s recent podcast interview claiming a coordinated effort to suppress Hunter Biden news was ‘warranted.'”
“Sam Harris says it was appropriate for Twitter and the heads of big tech and the heads of journalistic organizations to feel that they were in the presence of something that is a once-in-a-lifetime moral emergency, meaning Trump. So, he’s saying it’s okay to have a conspiracy to get rid of somebody as bad as Trump,” Maher said.
“They buried the Hunter Biden story before the election because they were like, we can’t risk having the election thrown to Trump, we’ll tell them after the election,” he continued.
Just a few weeks ago, Maher said that FBI raiding Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residency could ultimately benefit him politically, if the 45th president decided to run in 2024.
Maher insisted that Trump’s fortune was “finally falling.”
“DeSantis was beating him in the polls — you know who hates this more than anybody? DeSantis,” Maher exclaimed. “And this is saving Trump politically because now, of course, all the Republicans — what do they do?”
