New claims from longtime UFO researchers are reigniting debate over whether the U.S. government may secretly possess not just crashed alien spacecraft, but the bodies of multiple extraterrestrial species allegedly recovered from those incidents.
Hal Puthoff, a physicist and former CIA-funded researcher tied to multiple government-connected UFO investigations, made the explosive claims during a recent appearance on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast alongside Dan Farah.
Puthoff claimed individuals involved in alleged UFO recovery operations told him the U.S. government has encountered at least four distinct forms of extraterrestrial life connected to recovered craft.
“People who have been involved in recoveries have said there are at least four types,” Puthoff stated during the interview. “Four separate types. Now I have not had direct access to that but I believe the people who I talked to.”
While Puthoff did not personally identify the alleged species, fellow UFO researcher Eric Davis has previously claimed the beings fall into four categories commonly discussed within UFO circles: Nordics, Grays, Reptilians and Insectoids.
According to the claims, the “Nordics” supposedly resemble humans most closely, while the “Grays” are often described as short, hairless beings with large black eyes that have become deeply embedded in popular UFO culture.
The alleged “Reptilians” are described as humanoid lizard-like creatures, while “Insectoids” are said to resemble giant praying mantises.
Puthoff additionally suggested the extraterrestrials may intentionally allow humans to observe UFO phenomena.
“Given the level of quality of their technology, if they didn’t want to be seen, we wouldn’t be seeing them,” he said.
“So it seems like there’s evidence that, for whatever reason, they’re wanting to be seen.”
The comments arrive amid growing public attention surrounding unidentified anomalous phenomena, often referred to as UAPs, especially following increased government transparency efforts under President Donald Trump’s administration.
The Pentagon recently released another batch of declassified UFO-related documents as part of the administration’s PURSUE disclosure initiative, fueling even more public speculation surrounding what federal agencies may know about unexplained aerial encounters.
The latest claims also build on previous testimony from former intelligence official David Grusch, who told Congress in 2023 that the federal government possessed “non-human biologics” allegedly recovered from downed craft, per Fox News.
Farah, whose documentary “Age of Disclosure” focuses heavily on alleged UFO crash retrieval programs, claimed multiple senior intelligence officials interviewed for the film confirmed the existence of recovered non-human technology and bodies.
“A number of the people I interviewed in my film went on the record saying there have been dozens of crashed craft of non-human origin over the years,” Farah said.
Despite the sensational nature of the allegations, no publicly verified evidence has emerged proving the existence of alien bodies or extraterrestrial spacecraft in U.S. government custody.
Skeptics continue arguing that many claims within the UFO disclosure movement rely heavily on anonymous testimony, unverifiable insider accounts and speculative interpretations rather than hard physical proof.
Still, interest in the topic has exploded in recent years as former military personnel, intelligence officials and government contractors increasingly come forward claiming the federal government knows far more about UFOs than it publicly admits.
UFO researcher Kent Heckenlively warned that if extraterrestrial life truly exists, human beings may not fully understand the implications of direct contact.
“Maybe there are good reasons to stay apart from each other,” Heckenlively said. “Maybe they have such different views of morality that any contact should be extremely limited.”
