A new story from WPXI-TV has found that the man who allegedly attempted an assassination on former President Donald Trump, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was seen by law enforcement from the roof where the shots had been fired from almost 30 minutes before the attack.
The attack proved devastating, as it resulted in the killing of a former fire chief in addition to injuring two rally attendees, along with of course, the former president.
Nicole Ford from Chanel 11 reportedly confirmed that Beaver County’s Emergency Service Unit team had eight members deployed at the event, with snipers and spotters among them. Sources told Ford that a suspicious man was spotted on a roof near the rally at 5:45 p.m. on that fateful day and that he had snapped a photo of the person and alerted authorities. The pictured person is said to have been Crooks, per the report.
WPXI-TV reported that after a staggering 26 minutes following a second picture of Crooks being taken by law enforcement, shots rang out from the top of the American Glass Research building. It was only after that when a Secret Service sniper then fired a shot that killed Crooks.
