Gender-transitioned Caitlyn Jenner responded with humor when a 2017 post by a Texas restaurant, featuring enlarged pictures of Jenner’s pre- and post-gender transition, resurfaced.
The restaurant’s enlarged photos of Jenner were used to indicate which restroom was for men and which was for women. The pre-transitioned Jenner is featured winning gold in the Olympic decathlon; the post-transitioned Jenner is featured in a strapless dress.
A meme posted on Twitter features a photo of the bathroom doors with the caption: “Funny or Not?”
The Texas restaurant reportedly received significant backlash for posting and promoting the politically incorrect posters.
Jenner took the high road and responded simply, “Funny as hell.”
According to a Facebook post and the Daily Caller, the Twitter meme is not new — it was simply reposted recently. Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill originally posted pictures of their restrooms in November 2017.
At the time, the owners reported the door decorations were “merely a lighthearted gesture to push back against the political correctness that seems to have a stranglehold on the country right now.”
We believe that political correctness has done more to silence rather than encourage important discussions that our society probably needs to have.”
After a failed bid to serve as governor of California in 2020, Jenner became a Fox News Media contributor.
The Olympic Champion aligns with conservatives on many political issues, including the participation of biological males in women’s sports.
