Sad and disturbing details in a recently unsealed police affidavit reveal that Adam Montgomery, 33, abused and killed his five-year-old daughter Harmony.
Court records show that Adam repeatedly punched his daughter in the face, ultimately causing her death.
Fox News Digital reported that Adam attempted to conceal his crime by hiding Harmony’s body in multiple locations in the months following the murder.
The affidavit notes that Adam Montgomery struck his daughter at least three times in the face and head on the morning of December 7, 2019. This occurred after Harmony had several accidents in the car he was borrowing.
Reportedly, Adam Montgomery allegedly told his estranged wife, Kayla Montgomery, 32: “I think I really hurt her this time. I think I did something.” The report shows that the parents did not seek medical treatment for Harmony and that the child died a few hours later.
At the time, the Montgomery family, including Harmony and her two brothers, lived in a borrowed car in Manchester, New Hampshire.
The affidavit reveals that Adam moved Harmony’s body multiple times — placing his daughter in a duffel bag, a ceiling vent, a cooler and a restaurant freezer.
The current location of Harmony’s body is unknown.
Authorities claim Adam Montgomery carried around the body of missing Harmony in a duffle bag for months, even briefly storing her remains in a pizza shop where he worked.

In December 2019, the family moved into a homeless shelter, allegedly bringing with them the remains of Harmony.
The 48-page affidavit, filed under seal in October 2022, relied heavily on interviews with Kayla Montgomery, who agreed to cooperate with New Hampshire prosecutors after securing a plea deal in a separate perjury case.
Adam Montgomery is currently facing charges of second-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, witness tampering and falsifying evidence.
In a Tuesday interview with the Boston Globe, Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg said: “The details are horrific. You don’t need to be a parent to be bothered by what you read in that affidavit. It all bothers me.”
The death of Harmony, reported missing two years after she was last seen, has sparked outrage. The reported negligence by child welfare officials in Massachusetts and New Hampshire has put the agencies under scrutiny.
The New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth, and Families expressed shock and sadness in response to the affidavit’s details.
The trial for Adam Montgomery, who has pleaded not guilty, is set to commence in November.
