Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a Chinese virologist with expert-level knowledge of virus lab and Chinese government protocols, was one of the first Asian Doctors to sound the alarm about the COVID-19 virus. In early 2020, Yan warned that the virus was not naturally occurring and originated from a lab in Wuhan.
During a Monday interview with Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, Yan asserted that “it was not an accident” that the Chinese government released the virus.
Following the FBI and U.S. Department of Energy’s recent statements indicating the Wuhan lab was the point of origin for the COVID-19 virus, Yan, who was cast as a conspiracy theorist for several years by many legacy media platforms, is reaffirming her belief that China intentionally manufactured and released the COVID-19 virus.
Citing her credentials and inside knowledge of the situation, Yan told Tucker:
“Maybe for people who don’t have this kind of biosafety lab three or four [years] experience on coronavirus, maybe it’s easy for them to accept the accident lab leak. However, I’m a scientist, working in [a] research lab using coronavirus.”
Yan added: “And I can tell you, based on the print protocol and also the other surveillance system, it would be impossible for the lab leak [to] accidentally happen in such [a] lab and cause the Wuhan outbreak and also the pandemic.”
Yan continued: “So definitely now we just reached the first step. It was from China’s lab, and we need to pursue the truth of origin, and we need to keep going on.”
When Carlson asked if Yan thought the Chinese government released COVID to destroy Western economies and elevate their position globally, Yan replied she had evidence that the virus was “intentionally brought out of this strict lab and released in the community.”
Qualifying her statement, Yan said: “However, I don’t think the outbreak in Wuhan was intentional. I would say it was because [the] CCP government and the military scientists underestimated the transmissibility.”
Yan added: “That’s why finally it got out of control, and the cost [was] a local outbreak. However, we should know that [the] CCP government intentionally let it go all over the world to kill millions of people all over the world later.”
Yan, a respected scientist in virology and immunology at the Hong Kong School of Public Health, was forced to flee her homeland in April 2020 after questioning the government’s narrative regarding COVID.
After sharing her concerns on Jan. 16 to her supervisor, she was reportedly told “to keep silent and be careful.”
Yan asserts her supervisor warned her: “Don’t touch the red line (a reference to the government). “We will get in trouble, and we’ll be disappeared.”
