During his concert in Las Vegas earlier this month, country musician and rapper Jelly Roll took a pause to recognize a Vietnam veteran in the audience.
“This gentleman right here has got a Vietnam veteran hat on, and he has been standing right here and rocking with me all night long,” Jelly Roll said. “I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you and your service, sir.”
“Thank you so much.”
The concert’s cameras then focused on the Vietnam veteran, who responded with a salute to the rising country star. Jelly Roll, deeply moved by the veteran’s presence, made a generous offer.
“Thank you, I hope you’ve enjoyed the hell out of tonight,” he began, “And I promise you this, you’ll never buy another ticket to my show. I’m gonna get my people with you. You’re welcome forever, thank you.”
The poignant moment was captured in a video that quickly went viral, amassing over 400,000 views, according to a report from Breitbart News.
