Georgia firefighters contained a massive fire at a resin plant which forced an evacuation order to be issued for some surrounding areas.
The Glynn County Board of Commissioners said in a Facebook post at 6:21 p.m. that an evacuation order has been issued for the area within a ½ mile radius of the Pinova plant in Brunswick, Georgia. At 8:30, the board of commissioners said that the fire has been contained and no injuries are being reported
According to the board of commissioners, the Jacksonville Fire Department has arrived for support.
The board of commissioners also said in a Facebook post that there will be air drops of water onto the fire throughout the evening.
According to FOX 30, residents who live within a mile radius of the plant are being asked to stay inside and avoid any activities outside that aren’t necessary.

The Georgia fire comes after a recent fire at an Indiana recycling plan.
