Vice President Kamala Harris has received enough delegate votes to be the Democratic Party’s 2024 candidate, despite not being elected, per the New York Post.

The decision was made at a virtual roll call on Friday by the DNC. Monday is the deadline for all of the delegates to turn in their ballots electronically, but she had already secured enough votes.

“I am so proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has earned more than a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of the Democratic Party following the close of voting on Monday,” said DNC chair Jaime Harrison.

“The outpouring of support we have witnessed for the Vice President has been unprecedented. We knew your ballots would come back quickly.”

“Of course I will officially accept your nomination next week once the virtual voting period is closed, but already I’m happy to know that we have enough delegates to secure the nomination,” she said. “And later this month, we will gather in Chicago, united as one party where we’re going to have an opportunity to celebrate this historic moment together.”

I am honored to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. I will officially accept the nomination next week.

Clinching the nomination will make Harris the first female minority to be featured at the top of a presidential ticket.

To avoid potential litigation from conservatives regarding state ballot deadlines, the DNC voted to elect the vice president through a virtual roll call.

Ohio has a deadline for the presidential nominee to be on the ballot by Aug. 7. The candidate would be sworn in at the DNC convention, which will be begin on Aug. 19.

Many Americans, including liberals, have shared their anger and frustrations with not having a say in Harris being the candidate to represent them.

Last week, the radical leftist group Black Lives Matter (BLM) stated that the Democratic Party were “hypocrites” because the American people were given Harris, instead of letting voters choose who they wanted to face former President Donald Trump.

“We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs. Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites,” the group wrote.

“Baloney. ‘Democratic nominee’ What a load of crap. You are not a open convention or primary nominee. You have been anointed queen, heir to throne of presidency choosen by Democrat elites, Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, not rank and file Democrat voters,” one X user wrote.

“Kamala Harris was selected,” wrote Joseph Pino, another political commentator. “She is a complete fraud and coward- too afraid to participate in an open primary. She didn’t receive a single vote. She doesn’t deserve a single vote.
