Fox News has officially announced that Lawrence Jones will be joining the ranks of “Fox & Friends” as a new co-host sharing the spotlight with Fox News anchors Ainsley Earhardt, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade.
“Fox has given me this incredible opportunity to just grow,” Jones said.
“I mean, starting here at 20 years old and working my way up, and people like you [Dana Perino] and Bill [Hemmer] and Sean Hannity, who’s been an incredible mentor to me. It’s a dream come true to join as a co-host, I’m gonna learn so much from all of them that have been doing it for years, and I’m also excited about still having an opportunity to still go out there into America and cover the stories that matter to them,” Jones said.
Prior to joining “Fox & Friends,” Jones made a name for himself as the host of the Saturday program “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” from 9 to 10 p.m.
Beyond this, he serves as an enterprise reporter throughout the week, as mentioned in his bio on Fox News’ website. Since joining Fox News in 2018, Jones has become a prominent figure, especially for his “man-on-the-street” segments that shed light on the challenges faced by local communities.
His frequent appearances on Sean Hannity’s eponymous primetime program further solidify his position in the network. Lawrence Jones has won acclaim for his live reporting on crucial events such as in Uvalde, Texas, following the tragic mass shooting at Robb Elementary School, which resulted in the death of 19 students and two teachers.
Moreover, he took the initiative to host a one-hour primetime weekend special titled “One Nation.” This program delved deep into the race relations in the U.S., examining it through the lens of civil rights, religion and policing.
