Hillary Clinton, former first lady and failed presidential candidate, and her daughter Chelsea Clinton publicly bashed former First Lady Melania Trump and daughter Ivanka Trump during a “Watch What Happens Live” segment on Thursday.
Hillary taunted Melania over the FBI’s raid on the Florida home of former President Donald Trump, Mar-a-Lago, while Chelsea made the claim that Ivanka, who was a former friend, has gone to the “dark side.”
During a segment called “Host Talkative,” Bravo host Andy Cohen showed a photo of Melania to Hillary, asking her what the one question that she could ask the former first lady was.
Clinton smiled and simply said, “How’s your summer going?” in an apparent reference to the raid, prompting laughter from the host and her daughter.
“That’s so good,” Cohen responded.
Federal agents reportedly rummaged through the personal belongings of Mrs. Trump during the August 8 raid.
Former President Trump and numerous top Republicans have blasted the Biden administration and the FBI over the raid.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” the former president said in a statement. “After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
“They even broke into my safe!” Trump added. “It is political targeting at the highest level!”
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) also commented on the raid, likening it to the kinds of things that go on in a banana republic.
“The raid of [Mar-a-Lago] is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” the Republican posted to Twitter. “Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.”
During the “Watch What Happens Live” episode, Chelsea also commented on her former friend Ivanka.
“We were friends,” she told Cohen. “She is not the person I called when I was curious about something for my kids or if I was debating a life decision, but we were definitely friends … and then she went to the dark side.”
Chelsea has spoken poorly of Ivanka before after the former President’s daughter aided the administration with her husband Jared Kushner.
“I don’t think [Ivanka and Donald Trump] are the same by any standard, But I think she’s more than complicit,” Chelsea told Cohen back in 2020, Business Insider reported. “I don’t want to be friends with someone like that.”
