A former first lady will join current First Lady Jill Biden at the White House next week for a scheduled presentation of an arts award, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Hillary Clinton will join Mrs. Biden for a presentation of the 2023 Praemium Imperiale, an annual prize sponsored by the Japan Art Association to celebrate lifetime achievements in the arts.
The Praemium Imperiale laureates were first honored at the White House by President Bill Clinton and the then-first lady in 1994.
Jill Biden’s participation comes after she tested positive for COVID-19 over a week ago. The White House has described her condition as “mild” and has reported that she is on the path to recovery.

Despite the first lady’s recent positive COVID-19 test, the White House has confirmed that next Tuesday’s event will proceed as planned, according to the report.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently updated the public on Jill Biden’s health, stating, “the first lady is doing well” in her recovery.
Jean-Pierre noted President Biden tested negative for COVID-19 Wednesday morning and is set to leave for India on Thursday.
He is scheduled to attend the Group of 20 summit in New Delhi before traveling to Vietnam.
