A new report alleges that legendary rapper Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is currently in a Los Angeles hospital in poor condition after an artery began leaking inside his lungs.
All Hip Hop cited unnamed sources in a report that claimed the rap icon checked himself into the hospital on Friday after he began coughing up large quantities of blood.
Krayzie Bone suffers from sarcoidosis, an overreaction of the immune system that causes groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissues in organs of the body, frequently in the lungs. He was rushed into immediate surgery after a scan revealed the artery leaking into his lungs, but the bleeding reportedly did not stop.
The rapper was sedated and connected to a breathing machine, the outlet reported. It is unknown if his condition has changed.
As of this morning, TMZ reported that Krayzie Bone ”is going into a second surgery soon in the hopes of stopping some internal bleeding, which is at the root of his health troubles.”
Members of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony have corroborated the reports, with one member, Bizzy Bone, writing “Pray 4 Kray” on his Instagram story, and adding, “Can’t sleep. Sometimes you just gotta pray.”
Since news of Krayzie Bone’s alleged medical crisis have surfaced in the headlines, the rap world and entertainment industry have reeled at the news, with many major names, such as Juicy J, DJ Paul and LeBron James all posting about the news.
Krayzie Bone has had a significant impact on the hip hop world, and his contributions to music have left a major footprint on the industry. Since helping to found Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in 1991, He’s started his own record label, apparel line and podcast network and is recognized as a Grammy award-winning artist.
Krayzie Bone is one of the most influential artists of the 90s, and has continued to have success in his career.
As recently as August, the rapper was in Cleveland, Ohio, where the group has its roots, to celebrate part of East 99th Street being renamed Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Way.
TMZ reported that Krayzie Bone’s family has requested privacy and have not yet issued a public statement about his health.
