Actor Jamie Foxx is reportedly attempting to set the record straight regarding his recent medical issue and hospitalization.
Celebrity reporter A.J. Benza sparked rumors when he asserted that Foxx was hospitalized due to complications related to a COVID vaccine booster.
Benza made the assertion during a May 30 appearance on “Ask Dr. Drew.” Others quickly shared the claim as fact.
Benza shared he had a source “inside” the room with Foxx, who claimed that after being “pressured” to take a COVID booster, the actor was left “partially paralyzed and blind.”
On Wednesday, a representative for Foxx asserted the report is “completely inaccurate.” The representative made the statement to NBC News but did not elaborate or respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
According to Benza, Foxx developed a clot “in his brain after he got the shot.”
Foxx’s daughter Corinne announced the actor’s health scare and hospitalization in April. Strangely quiet, Foxx reportedly posted about his recovery in May and has yet to discuss his health status in person.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” Foxx wrote on May 3.
Corinne attempted to quell rumors by providing a general update in mid-May, writing: “Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.”
Noting the conspicuous absence of details, Benza asserted the updates coming from Foxx’s camp were “all lies.”
Production officials report that Foxx was filming a Netflix movie “Back in Action” at the time of the medical incident. Filming continues with a body double temporarily filling in for Foxx.
