In a candid YouTube Q&A session, President-elect Donald Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter Kai Trump shared some awkward encounters involving her grandfather’s attempts at playing matchmaker, offering a rare glimpse into their family’s private moments.
During her “Get To Know Me Better” video posted Dec. 17, the young golf prodigy recounted what she described as her “most embarrassing moment ever” – an incident where the president-elect mistook one of her male friends for her boyfriend during a golf outing.
“I brought one of my guy friends to play golf and he goes, ‘Oh my God! Look how, like, handsome your boyfriend is,’ and all that,” Kai recalled, visibly uncomfortable as she shared the story.
The situation became particularly awkward because, as she explained, her friend actually had a girlfriend at the time. “I got so embarrassed,” she shared.
The teenage Trump didn’t stop there.
She revealed that this wasn’t an isolated incident, briefly mentioning another uncomfortable encounter between her grandfather and a different male friend.
“And then when he met a guy I was talking to, that was also kind of embarrassing,” she admitted before quickly changing the subject. “But we don’t have to talk about that!”
Earlier in the video, she credited the president-elect with instilling important life lessons throughout her childhood.
“He’s taught me to never give up, and if I have a dream, always try to achieve that dream and never stop trying because one day, it will happen,” she shared.
The young Trump demonstrated her continued support for her grandfather’s political aspirations, adding, “And he’s president of the United States again, so never give up on your dreams!”
The Q&A session also revealed lighter moments, with Kai sharing her celebrity crush – Drew Starkey from the popular series “Outer Banks.”
Fox News’ Lisa Kennedy Montgomery issued a “warning” for Kai last month, urging her to act more like the mysterious Barron Trump.
Kennedy argued that the teenage Trump ought to be careful about her online activity, stating, “she needs to get off social media – stat.”
From YouTube videos aboard her grandfather’s private jet to TikTok performances and Election night vlogs, Kai has been leveraging digital platforms to connect with a wide audience.
Kennedy warned about the “dangerously intoxicating” implications social media can have on youngsters, especially when it comes to “underage and impressionable” girls like Kai.
“Millions of people have now had a peep at her bedsheets! And many of those millions are surely waiting to pounce on the slightest scent of a mistake,” Kennedy said, as outlined by Resist the Mainstream.
“Remember when Rosie O’Donnell (‘O’ for Ozempic) vilely suggested that a 10-year-old Barron was autistic?” Kennedy cited as an example of just how disgusting media figures can be when it comes to the Trump family.
“Kai would be best served to take the lower profile, set the Insta to private and deep-six the TikTok,” Kennedy concluded.
