Kamala Harris has called Donald Trump to congratulate him on the race and concede the 2024 presidential election.
“Vice President Kamala Harris has officially conceded the 2025 presidential election, calling President-elect Donald Trump to offer her congratulations,” reported CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
CNN Senior White House Correspondent MJ Lee said “we are told [Harris] talked about the transfer of power being peaceful and also about being a President for all Americans” and that millions of people who will be looking to her for cues on “what does this mean going forward?”
Blitzer made a point to say that Harris is “now doing what Trump refused to do four years ago” after the 2024 election, to which Lee nodded her head in agreement.
This comes just after the state of Michigan was called for Trump by the Associated Press and the DOJ dropping its criminal case against the soon-to-return President.
Harris notably underperformed Biden massively, not managing to be better than him in even a single county in the United States, as reported by CNN.
“Holy smokes!” CNN’s Jake Tapper exclaimed during a CNN broadcast. “Literally nothing?”
“Literally nothing,” answered CNN chief national correspondent John King.
“Literally not one county?” Tapper asked again.
King displayed a map that revealed that Harris outperformed Biden by 3% in merely 56 counties nationwide.
“So in counties, in 58 counties, we just showed Donald Trump was over a thousand counties of the 4,600 counties and townships across America,.” explained King, per the New York Post.
“There might be more out here on the West Coast, possibly one or two more as they finish the count here, but in the states that matter — again, I just showed you all those Trump counties — in one county in battleground Pennsylvania, she’s outperforming President Biden by 3% or more.”
