Karoline Leavitt Reveals Her New Project After Leaving White House

Pool days have replaced press briefings for Karoline Leavitt.

Weeks after walking away from her post at the White House, the former press secretary is now knee-deep in a home renovation project in Florida, a property she owns with her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio.

Followers learned of the venture through a social media post shared over the weekend.

Leavitt included photos of the property and invited her audience to weigh in through a poll, asking whether they wanted to track the renovation’s progress.

“We are renovating our place in Florida. Would you like to follow along?” she wrote alongside the poll.

A stroller purchase provided the next hint about the family’s Florida routine.

Leavitt addressed the topic Monday on her Instagram story, responding to a flood of questions from followers curious about a double stroller featured in her posts.

“So many questions about our double stroller! I love the Nuna, but we needed another stroller for our Florida home,” she wrote over an image of her two children.

Those children are son Niko, age two, and daughter Viviana, who is four months old.

Leavitt used the moment to clarify that the family has no intention of relocating to Florida permanently.

“I ordered this on Amazon since we will only be here for a few months of the year, and it’s less expensive,” she wrote, explaining the logic behind the budget-friendly stroller choice.

New Hampshire remains the family’s primary residence.

Leavitt and Riccio’s relationship traces back to 2022, when the two met while she was actively campaigning for a congressional seat in the state.

Riccio built his career in real estate and is reported to hold a portfolio of properties, a detail that lines up with the couple’s decision to take on the Florida renovation together.

Leavitt’s shift toward home and family projects follows her exit from the White House at the close of August.

Before stepping down, she had already secured a place in history as the youngest press secretary the nation has ever seen.

Juggling the intensity of that role with raising two small children became increasingly untenable, according to Leavitt’s own public remarks.

That struggle factored heavily into her decision to leave the position behind.

During her final interview while still serving in the role, Leavitt reflected on the complicated emotions tied to her departure, calling the experience bittersweet.

“It’s bitter because I’m leaving a job that I love so very much, and it’s been the honor and blessing of a lifetime to work for this president, President Trump. There will never be another like him and to serve as his spokesperson behind that podium. It has been the adventure of a lifetime,” she said.

She also pointed to her children’s current stage of development as a major factor behind her choice to step back from full-time political work.

“They’re just at a critical time in their life when they need their mom home a little bit more,” Leavitt said of her son and daughter.

Leaving the podium has not meant severing ties with Trump’s political operation entirely.

Leavitt’s connection to his broader team remains active even outside the confines of her former West Wing job.

Trump revealed in August that Leavitt would stay on as one of his outside advisers following her exit from the administration, ensuring her continued presence in his circle.

She has additionally confirmed her intent to return to MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned super PAC that previously employed her as a spokeswoman before her White House tenure began.

At present, Leavitt’s public-facing energy is directed toward her family and the ongoing Florida project rather than any new career move or media opportunity.

That focus was on full display over the weekend, when she posted a photo of her children lounging poolside.

“Living our best life,” she wrote alongside the image, offering followers a snapshot of her family’s current pace outside the political spotlight.

Together, the renovation update and stroller explanation paint a picture of a household now split between two states, with domestic life taking precedence over any immediate return to the public arena.

Her preserved role as an outside adviser to Trump, along with her planned return to MAGA Inc., indicates that Leavitt’s political involvement continues in the background even as her daily responsibilities have shifted toward home.

From the convention in Dallas, through the Florida renovation, to some well-deserved relaxation by the pool with Nico and Vivi.

Much respect to Karoline Leavitt — hard work, family, and a little time to enjoy life.
