Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany shared joyful news with viewers on Monday when she announced that she and her husband Sean Gilmartin are expecting their third child this summer.
McEnany, who currently serves as a co-host on Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” made the announcement during Monday’s broadcast, sharing an ultrasound image with her fellow panelists and viewers at home.
“Sean and I are expecting our third child which we’re so excited about,” McEnany told the audience.
The baby, due in June, will join the couple’s growing family alongside their 5-year-old daughter Blake and 2-year-old son Nash.
The former Trump administration official had hinted at her announcement shortly before the program aired, posting on X that she had a “big announcement” coming.
This mirrors how she revealed her second pregnancy in June 2022, when she similarly chose the “Outnumbered” panel to share her news before giving birth to her son Nash in December of that year.
McEnany shared touching details about how her family has been experiencing this special time together.
Her eldest child, daughter Blake, has already embraced her role as a big sister-to-be. According to McEnany, Blake “runs up and grabs my stomach and says ‘let me kiss the baby.'”
The expectant mother noted that she has “been pregnant during Christmas and during Thanksgiving,” making these recent holiday celebrations particularly meaningful for her family.
During the broadcast, McEnany also turned to scripture to express her feelings about the pregnancy. She quoted Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you,” and Luke 12:7 that “God knows the very hairs on our head.”
She explained that these biblical references held special significance beyond her personal circumstances. “It’s not just a message about my baby, it’s a message about all of you and that’s how much He loves us,” McEnany told viewers.
After sharing the emotional announcement and scriptural message, McEnany lightened the moment by asking, “And with all that said, can I unbutton my jacket now?” – a candid acknowledgment of the physical realities of pregnancy that resonated with the panel.
While McEnany did not reveal the baby’s gender during Monday’s announcement, she did tell viewers that she plans to conduct a gender reveal on the program in the near future, giving fans something to look forward to in upcoming episodes.
McEnany served as White House press secretary during President Donald Trump’s administration from April 2020 until January 2021.
