Kellyanne Conway Blasts Jared Kushner Over 2020 ‘Debacle,’ Predicts Trump ‘Unstoppable’ in 2024

Mike Pence Responds to Trump Indictment: It’s an ‘Outrage’

Former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway recommends that if the former president runs again in 2024, he should keep his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, at arm’s length, claiming that he profited “handsomely” during his years in the White House.

Conway was at the helm of Trump’s successful 2016 campaign and claimed that Kushner’s statement that he was done with politics was a “convenient way of saying, ‘Don’t hold me responsible for all the authority I gave myself.’”

“It’s become incredibly convenient for Jared to not be given responsibility for that 2020 debacle of a campaign, to not take responsibility for, frankly, not being there for his father-in-law now the way that he insisted on being there for five straight years until things didn’t really work out,” Conway said in a Washington Times interview.

Conway added that Kushner had made significant financial gains between 2016 and 2020. “There’s nobody who’s profited more handsomely from Donald Trump’s presidency than Jared Kushner,” she said. “If you believe the news reports … he’s gotten billions of dollars for his [investment] fund.”

The comment refers to reports that the Saudi Government invested $2 billion dollars into a private equity firm Kushner began after his time in the White House.

Conway went on to predict that should Trump run again he would be “unstoppable,” even against competition from Ron DeSantis who has shown increasing popularity on a national level. Conway claimed that, in the face of increasing frustration with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump could run under the message “I can do it because I already did it.”

“People understood exactly why he was running [in 2016] and what they would get,” Conway suggested. “A combination of vintage Trump with those amazing accomplishments in 2020, he can be unstoppable in 2024.”

DeSantis has made waves in Florida but is still untested on a national level, and, while support for him is growing nationally, there’s still no way to know for sure how successful he will be in a presidential run. DeSantis appears to be Trump’s strongest Republican opponent.

“He obviously is highly favored by donors and grassroots. But I will say this: I love the donors. They’re very successful people in life. They’re often wrong about who’s next. People say, ’I want DeSantis,’ and they don’t know him that well,” Conway said. ”And they have to realize that whether it’s DeSantis or Joe Blow or Donald Trump … if you have an ’R’ after your name, they’re coming for you.”
