Comedian Kevin Hart is not laughing about injuries sustained during a friendly foot race against former NFL player, Stevan Ridley that landed him in a wheelchair.

“44 and sitting my ass down!!!!!” Hart told his 178 million Instagram followers about the incident.

“I got to be the dumbest man alive!!!!!” the comedian continued. “What the f–k am I doing???? I blew my s–t….I’m done. FML.”

Hart elaborated about the incident in a video clip.

“I’m in a wheelchair,” he added. “Why? Well, because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff.”

The comedian claims he is pretty fast, saying people who know him know that about him. He and Ridley began debating who was the faster of the two, according to a report from People magazine.

“Stevan said, ‘Kevin, ain’t no way you’re gonna beat me.'” Hart noted, adding Ridley is an ex-NFL running back for the New England Patriots. “Very good guy.”

The 40-yard dash competition did not end well for Hart, who noted he is temporarily unable to walk and requires the use of a wheelchair for mobility,

He attributed his injuries to his age, advising others over 40 to be realistic about how physical they can be at their age.

“To all my men and women out there that are 40 years old and above. It’s not a game, respect that age,” he advised.

“Respect that age, or that age will make you respect it,” said Hart. “This is just a public service announcement because I know people may see me out. And I don’t want you to be alarmed, but I’m in a wheelchair.”

The comedian explained he suffered a torn lower abdomen and tears to his hip abductors.

“I don’t know what that is but I tore them, I tore those, too,” he joked. “I can’t walk.”

Hip abductors play a crucial role in supporting the pelvis and hip joint.

“Tell you what you just lost, son,” Hart added. “You just lost every opportunity of me going to racing you anytime soon. It’s over.”

“What are we competing for at this age?” he asked. “What am I doing? Why did I even race? Stupidest s–t ever, now I can’t walk.”

Kevin Hart tried to race former NFL player Stevan Ridley in the 40-yard dash and is now in a wheelchair after muscle tears.

“The age of 40 is real… Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn — I don’t even know what that is, but I tore ’em. … I can’t walk!” pic.twitter.com/1R8JfGqBoY

In response to Hart’s post, Ridley shared a light-hearted response to Hart on his Instagram Story.

“I SAW @TOMBRADY DO IT AT YOUR AGE SO I FIGURED YOU HAD THE JOICE TOO BIG BRO!” Ridley posted. “MY BAD @KEVINHARTFOREAL! HEAL UP AND PEEKP MAKING US ALL LAUGH!”

Brady played professional football at the highest level into his 40s. He led his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Super Bowl victory when he was 43 years old.

The NFL quarterback exercised religiously throughout his decades of pro football, though. It is unrealistic for a couch potato to attempt emulating a highly conditioned athlete without proper physical preparation.

Hart told followers he anticipates spending six-to-eight weeks in the wheelchair.
