L.A. Sheriff’s Department Responds to Aaron Carter’s Mom Sharing Graphic Death Scene Photos

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement Thursday after Aaron Carter’s mom released graphic photos of his death scene to the public.

“Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the death of Aaron Carter. To date, there has been no evidence of foul play found during the investigation,” investigators said in a statement, per Rolling Stone. “The results of Mr. Carter’s autopsy are still pending. The investigation remains ongoing.”

Jane Schneck was frustrated that Carter’s death wasn’t being investigated as a potential crime, so she published images of the 34-year-old’s bathroom on her Facebook page Wednesday. These images included shots of a bathtub filled with discolored water where Carter’s body was discovered plus other images of clothing, towels, and soiled water all over the floor.

The green-hued water is thought to be the result of the body decomposing before it was discovered by Carter’s housekeeper.

“I want to share these death scene photos with you all because the coroner wrote it off as an accidental drug overdose. They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past,” Schneck shared on Facebook. She argues that police “allowed people to go in and out” and were “tromping” through the room when it should have been treated as a crime scene.

“Aaron had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable,” the singer’s mother continued. She said that the specific way that bath towels were folded and placed on the bathroom floor could be clues to proving that Carter’s death was staged to look like an overdose.

“A proper investigation was not done,” Schneck asserted.

The singer’s on-again, off-again fiance Melanie Martin found messages on Carter’s phone showing a text exchange between him and an identified person who was allegedly demanding $800 for an unknown substance. She told TMZ in January that this exchange was proof that the death could have been a homicide.
