Eight days after Lisa Marie Presley died, her daughter, Riley Keough, posted a childhood photo shared with her mother.
The posted photograph shows Keough as a young girl holding a bouquet of flowers looking up at her mother. Presley is smiling down as she embraces her daughter. Keough captioned the photo posted to her Instagram with a single red heart emoji.
Presley was the only child of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley and his wife Priscilla. She suffered cardiac arrest January 12, and her ex-husband Danny Keough administered CPR until EMTs arrived to take over, according to a TMZ report.
The report added a housekeeper found Presley unresponsive in a bedroom of her Calabasas, California, home. The housekeeper reportedly called 911 while Keough performed first aid. After EMTs arrived, they took over efforts to revive Presley, which reportedly included administering at least one dose of epinephrine.
Vital signs were detected by first responders and Presley was transported by ambulance to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center. Despite treatment provided by medical staff at the hospital, Presley died the same day, according to a Us Weekly report.
Presley was buried at Graceland, the 13-acre Memphis, Tennessee, estate where Elvis Presley lived for 20 years before his death. A public memorial for Presley will be conducted Sunday morning on the front lawn of Graceland, according to its website.
“In addition to family and friends, the general public is invited to attend,” a Graceland spokesperson stated. “Following the service, there will be a procession to view Lisa’s final resting place in Meditation Garden.” Fans unable to attend in person may view the livestreamed memorial online Sunday, beginning at 9:50 a.m.
