On Friday night, numerous California residents reported that they spotted and filmed a grouping of UFOs flying through the night sky in a zigzag pattern.
That evening, multiple ring camera owners shared reports of sightings across Palmdale and Lancaster, towns to the north of Los Angeles, with one video showing bright lights zipping across the horizon.
“Reports are emerging on various social media platforms of a suspected UFO sighting in the night sky,” wrote community page 661 Lasd And Lacofd calls on X. “Multiple individuals have shared their accounts, describing a bright light, a hovercraft-like aircraft, and unusual flight patterns, including abrupt stops and zigzag movements followed by a northerly trajectory.”
“We invite anyone who may have witnessed this phenomenon to share their observations in the comments section below. Your firsthand accounts will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of this incident,” they added.
In a follow-up post, they included descriptions of the phenomenon from users of the Ring Neighbors app.
“Me and my daughter were hanging out in the backyard when we both thought we saw a shooting star falling east. It stopped very abruptly and zigzagged going north,” one person wrote. “Checking to see if anyone else saw it or if we’re both going crazy.”
“I was walking my dog in my backyard and saw a bright light up in the sky,” wrote another. “At first I was like omg what a cool plane that Northrop assembled but to my dismay it was a hovercraft! Please tell me I’m not the only one who saw !!!”
A third user said that the objects “were too far to me to confidently say they were flying saucers, but did anyone else see multiple? We counted 6 after being out there for about 10 minutes.”
“Look at this weird UFO I just filmed in my backyard,” another person wrote on X alongside an eerie video Friday night showing a lighted object flip-flopping in the night sky.
“All my neighbors apparently saw 4-5 zipping across the sky and was confused about it…. They all thought it was a drone show until they got shots like the one above,” wrote another user.
Another video, reposted by influencer Dom Lucre, showed several bright lights in a line floating above the earth.
“One UFO can be seen coming towards the camera man and vanish in thin air,” Lucre wrote. “The second footage show MULTIPLE UFOs flying at a low altitude in an eerie line, this is truly fascinating.”
Notably, Palmdale is near Edwards Air Force Base, the USAF’s second-largest base. Edwards has been previously used for advanced aerospace testing, and numerous UFO sightings have occurred in the surrounding region previously. The New York Post reported that some sources claimed local law enforcement was investigating, but the Lancaster and Palmdale sheriff’s departments denied those reports. Such investigations would “come under the purview of the Department of Defense, which has not responded to the reported sightings.”
