A bombshell audit by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has uncovered an alarming national security breach that could have impacted the 2024 presidential election, revealing millions of illegal aliens have gained access to America’s benefit systems and potentially its voting booths.
This comes just months after Elon Musk sounded the alarm on the unprecedented influx of convicted felons who reportedly entered the country to subsequently disappear from official radar late last year, ahead of the presidential election.
It also comes on the heels of Musk’s stark concerns about illegal aliens voting in U.S. elections.
The DOGE investigation, led by Antonio Gracias, CEO of Valor Equity Partners and advisor to Musk’s government efficiency task force, discovered that over five million illegal immigrants have been assigned Social Security numbers, potentially giving them improper access to welfare benefits meant exclusively for American citizens.
Even more concerning, the audit found evidence that thousands of these non-citizens appeared on voter rolls in several states, with many having cast ballots as recently as last year.
“It made my jaw drop too when I saw it,” Gracias told Fox News host Steve Doocy during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”
The DOGE team uncovered the shocking numbers while examining the Social Security Administration’s enumeration system, which assigns identification numbers to Americans.
Their investigation revealed a systematic failure that has allowed millions of non-citizens to penetrate America’s benefit systems.
“We found that there were about five-plus million of them that came into the country as illegals, were given various forms of parole or allowed in the country, and then got through an automatic security system to get numbers, to get into our benefit systems,” Gracias explained.
The audit findings come amid existing concerns about government waste. The U.S. Government Accountability Office has previously estimated that federal welfare programs lose between $233 million and over half a trillion dollars annually due to fraudulent activity, Trending Politics reported.
The investigation took an even more troubling turn when the team cross-referenced these Social Security numbers with voter registration data.
“Just because we were curious, we then looked to see if they were on the voter rolls, and we found in a handful of cooperative states that there were thousands of them on the voter rolls and that many of them had voted,” Gracias revealed.
At a separate event this week, both Musk and Gracias presented their findings publicly, displaying data showing a dramatic acceleration in the issuance of Social Security numbers to non-citizens. According to their presentation, only 271 illegal aliens received Social Security numbers in 2021, but that figure skyrocketed to 2.1 million by 2024.
“This is a mind-blowing chart,” Musk stated emphatically while presenting the data.
Gracias emphasized that the investigation wasn’t politically motivated but rather aimed at protecting America’s future and the integrity of its immigration system.
“This isn’t political,” he insisted. “This country’s been great to us… I’m pro-legal immigration… This is about America and the future of America.”
The DOGE findings come as border officials report significant progress in stemming illegal immigration under the Trump administration.
Recent data reported by the New York Post shows daily illegal crossings have plummeted by 94 percent compared to the same period last year, with border authorities now apprehending an average of just 285 illegal immigrants daily, down from approximately 4,800 this time last year.
If current trends continue, illegal border crossings could reach a historic low not seen since 1968, marking a dramatic reversal from the record-high numbers seen in recent years.
