The Carter family has experienced tragedy and heartache. In April, Aaron died in a bathtub at his residence due to gas and drug effects, per a report by the LA County Medical Examiner. He was 34.
In 2012, Aaron’s sister Leslie Carter died of a drug overdose. She was 25.
On Wednesday, Page Six reported Aaron and Nick’s sister Bobbie Jean was “found unresponsive in a bathroom” on December 23.
The scenario was eerily reminiscent of Aaron’s tragic death. Bobbie Jean was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, but she died a short time later.
Authorities reported that Bobbie Jean, 41, had been arrested in June on retail theft and fentanyl drug possession charges. She was on probation at the time of her death.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, first responders were dispatched to Bobbie Jean’s Tampa home on Saturday morning. Emergency personnel found her unresponsive” but alive.
Bobbie Jean’s roommates reported she had been drug-free since being released from custody several months ago.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of death, and though investigators did not find narcotics or drug paraphernalia in the residence and “foul play is not suspected,” her death is being investigated.
Jane Carter, Bobbie Jean’s mother, posted:
I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time.
When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement, but until then, I would request to be left to grieve in private.
However deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater,” Jane added, asking for prayers for her “precious 8-year-old granddaughter, Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.
