Newt Gingrich (R), Former Speaker of the House, is sounding the alarm about what the Western Journal referred to as a “lurking threat in the political arena.”
During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo, Gingrich warned that recent high-profile departures from the White House could indicate preparations for a different Democratic administration.
According to the Journal, Gingrich warned that the departure of Susan Rice, Biden’s domestic policy adviser, “could be the first small step towards the return of the Obamas.”
Gingrich noted that the timing of Rice’s departure, just a day before Biden announced his intention to seek reelection, was more than just a little suspicious.
Gingrich argued that, at the very least, Rice’s departure indicated she disagreed with Biden’s “kamikaze” reelection bid.
Michelle Obama could potentially stand in the way of Biden’s second term, argues Gingrich.
Though Michelle Obama has publicly stated she was not interested in a presidential run, many identify her as the “next big thing” for the DNC.
In a November 2022 interview, Michelle Obama said: “I detest it,” referring to the mere question. “No, I’m not going to run.”
Gingrich argued that it appears the foundation is being set for the rumors to be proven true.
“Do you believe that Susan Rice leaves the White House the day before Biden makes this [reelection] announcement is a coincidence?” Bartiromo asked Gingrich.
The news anchor added: “I mean, I feel that this is very significant. I don’t know if she’s going to be managing someone else’s campaign or if she’s going to run to challenge Biden. What do you think is going on here? But clearly, Democrats are divided over Biden’s re-election bid.”
Gingrich responded: “Well, I think that at a minimum, it probably is a sign that she said, ‘Don’t do it.’ And [Biden] said, ‘I’m doing it anyway.’ And I think, she just didn’t want to be a part of a Biden re-election [bid].”
Gingrich then noted that Michelle Obama was seen playing the tambourine at a Bruce Springsteen concert recently, possibly a move to put her again in the spotlight.
Michelle Obama “recently had 9,000 people at an event with Oprah in Los Angeles,” Gingrich said. “I think Republicans had better pay significant attention to Michelle Obama.”
Gingrich added: “I hadn’t believed that until I saw her on stage with Bruce Springsteen, and I thought, you know, ‘this is not a person who’s hiding.'”
The former speaker warns Republicans to beware of a possible Obama bid to return to the White House.
