The group that successfully sued to stop President Joe Biden’s mask mandates for travelers urged the NFL Players Association to screen for vaccination side effects.
In a January 27 letter to DeMaurice Smith, the Health Freedom Defense Fund informed the NFLPA president about studies allegedly linking COVID-19 vaccinations with heart issues.

Manookian noted the players association reviews concussion protocols every season to include the most current medical consensus about handling concussions.
“Appreciating the NFLPA’s responsibility and commitment towards player safety we wish to draw your attention to the potential implications of Damar Hamlin’s multiple cardiac arrests and the heart attacks and stroke of former NFL players,” Manookian said in her correspondence.
She declared there is another possible health concern that has recently been documented in scientific literature.
“Further attention and an inquiry into these recent tragedies is paramount as a growing body of data and scientific reports, published in peer reviewed medical journals, have documented a wide range of safety signals from the Covid-19 vaccines, including subclinical heart conditions,” she explained.
Eight peer-reviewed studies were listed with links to their publications and summaries of the study. Then, she noted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned some COVID-19 vaccines carry the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis, especially in young men.
Most NFL players received a COVID-19 vaccine under pressure from teams and the league, according to a report from The Epoch Times.
Manookian suggested the NFLPA should introduce “a testing and screening program to determine whether players have been adversely affected by the injections and to develop a set of functional medical protocols and treatments in order to address and heal any deleterious effects of the vaccines.”
