A routine day at Nashville Airport transformed into a theatrical spectacle when a Scottish woman unleashed a chaotic meltdown, invoking references to “Titanic” and “The White Lotus” while battling with police over vaping rights and water access.
The unearthed incident, captured on police bodycam footage from 2023, began when the unidentified woman forced her way into the Delta Sky Club lounge without proper access.
Carrying a Gucci travel bag marked with the letters “R” and “J,” she immediately demanded food service and refused to leave, prompting staff to alert authorities.
Upon police arrival, the woman displayed her vape and nicotine gum on a desk, declaring, “I need to smoke. That’s why I’ve put my stuff out here, because I trust humanity.”
Her Caledonian accent grew more pronounced as her agitation escalated, Daily Mail highlighted.
The situation spiraled when she attempted to access a paid smokers’ lounge without payment.
When denied entry, she demanded officers give her $10 for nicotine gum.
“I don’t have $10,” one officer responded to her unusual request.
Initially, officers showed restraint, deciding her behavior didn’t warrant arrest. However, they remained nearby, correctly anticipating further issues.
The situation reached its breaking point when the flight captain barred her from boarding her British Airways flight to London Heathrow.
“You have to help me towards the water,” she pleaded, before warning, “You can’t put your hands on women.”
As officers moved to arrest her, she launched into a peculiar cinematic reference: “I will only go on the captain’s orders, because I’ve seen Titanic. I am Titanic, I am white lotus… get your f***ing hands off me.”
Claiming previous trauma from American police, she repeatedly screamed “not again, not again” during her arrest.
Officers ultimately had to drag her from the airport as she actively resisted, continuing her protests even as they attempted to place her in the police vehicle.
Daily Mail reported that the dramatic episode concluded with the woman’s arrest on disorderly conduct charges, but not before she made a final appeal to a female officer, begging “help me woman” during her resistance.
