Former President Trump headlined a Latrobe, Pennsylvania, rally Saturday to bolster support for Republican Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz.

The 45th president seemed presidential again with his campaign airplane, nicknamed Trump Force One, on prominent display. At one point, he noted presidential poll results that appeared on a nearby jumbo screen, according to a New York Post report. He began reading the numbers to the large crowd in attendance.

“We’re winning big, big, big in the Republican Party for the nomination like nobody’s ever seen before,” Trump said. “There it is, Trump at 71 [percent]. Ron DeSanctimonious at 10 percent. Mike Pence at 7 — oh, Mike Pence doing better than I thought,” Trump continued.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is widely considered the most likely challenger for a potential Trump bid to become the GOP nominee for president in 2024.

Trump’s former secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, objected to the former president mocking DeSantis.

“Not tired of winning,” Pompeo remarked in a Saturday Twitter post. “@GovRonDeSantis you’ve proven conservative policies work. Florida is better for it. Vote for @GovRonDeSantis.”

Trump is widely expected to enter the 2024 presidential race soon. Many political observers expect it to be as soon as midterm election results are known.

The woman who managed his 2016 presidential campaign said Donald Trump deserves credit for delaying announcements about his candidacy until after the midterm. Kellyanne Conway opined the former president will announce soon and expects he will do extremely well.

Her remarks were delivered earlier this month at a breakfast panel hosted by the Christian Science Monitor in Washington, D.C.

The 45th president dropped another hint during the Saturday rally he was ready to mount another campaign.

“This is the year we’re going to take back the House,” Trump proclaimed. “We’re going to take back the Senate. And we’re going to take back America. We’re going to take it back.”

“And in 2024, most importantly, we are going to take back our magnificent, oh-so beautiful White House.”
