Lourdes Ubieta, a conservative radio host, has quit her position ahead of the expected purchase of her station by a liberal group backed by George Soros.

Ubieta, a Cuban American, hosted a show on Miami’s Radio Mambi and rejected a lucrative deal to continue operating under the new management. Radio Mambi has long been associated with Miami’s Cuban exile population and has always kept a right-leaning and anti-communist perspective.

“I would never cut a deal with these people,” Ubieta told Fox News. “Never, never, never.”

Ubieta expects drastic change after the change in ownership and has already made plans to move to another station.

Radio Mambi is just one of 18 Spanish-language radio stations targeted by the $60 million deal. Stephanie Valencia, a former Obama administration staffer, and Jess Morales Rocketto, who was involved in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, are spearheading the effort to purchase the channels. They recently sat down with Axios, saying their new radio conglomerate would reach a third of all Hispanics in America.

“Those 10 markets are some of the most dense markets in the country,” Valencia said in the interview, referring to markets such as San Antonio, Los Angeles and Fresno. “They basically give us access to one-third of the Hispanic population in this country.”

The effort is funded by Lakestar Finance, “An investment entity affiliated with Soros Fund Management.”

Ubieta was offered a deal, but denied the money and chose to move on from the station. “They told me that I will receive half the money as soon as they get the FCC approval and then the rest of the money when Soros’ people take over,” she said. “I don’t want to be part of the deal. I’m not going to sign the papers and I quit.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has also released a series of advertisements denouncing the attempted takeover, which still awaits FCC approval.

“Warning!” the ad states in Spanish. “The left is taking control of our local media. They are coming with their ideological agenda. Soros and his minions know what this community represents in the fight against socialism in America. This community will not get confused. Under Governor Ron DeSantis’s leadership Florida is standing against the corporate media and leftist disinformation.”
