Alan Ritchson, the 43-year-old actor best known for playing Jack Reacher in Amazon Prime Video’s hit action series, was captured on video allegedly attacking his neighbor during a physical altercation in a Tennessee neighborhood on Sunday.

Video footage obtained by TMZ shows the 6-foot-3-inch actor striking a man on the ground multiple times.

Two children on motorbikes, believed to be his sons, were present during the incident.

The alleged victim, neighbor Ronnie Taylor, told TMZ the conflict began the previous day, on Saturday, when Ritchson rode his green Kawasaki motorcycle through their upscale Brentwood, Tennessee neighborhood.

Taylor alleged that Ritchson was traveling at excessive speeds and revving his engine, disturbing the peace of the quiet residential area.

Taylor said he responded by flipping Ritchson off, and the actor returned the gesture.

The following day, around noon on Sunday, Ritchson returned to the neighborhood on his motorcycle, this time accompanied by two children riding their own bikes.

Taylor alleged the actor was again speeding.

Taylor then confronted the actor, saying, “Can you f*****g stop this please,” after which the situation escalated into a physical confrontation.

Taylor alleged that Ritchson punched him in the face and kicked him. He further claimed the actor hit him “at least four times,” including striking him in the back of the head.

Taylor reported that the incident left him with bruises and swelling.

He did not seek hospital treatment.

Sources close to Ritchson offered a different account of events to TMZ. They claimed the actor did not instigate the altercation and was allegedly “pushed off his bike twice” by Taylor before any physical exchange occurred.

Those sources further alleged that Taylor “bolted into the street to try to stop Alan’s bike in a really aggressive manner” while Ritchson was riding ahead of his two children.

According to those same sources, Ritchson fell from his motorcycle and sustained cuts, bruises, and a minor finger injury.

Taylor allegedly “dared” Ritchson to hit him while “yelling” at the actor as he remained on the ground.

Sources also claimed Ritchson attempted to leave the scene before Taylor allegedly shoved him back to the ground, provoking the physical confrontation.

It was further stated that Ritchson had been “cooperative with the police and nobody has been arrested.”

A Brentwood Tennessee Police Department spokesman confirmed an active investigation.

In the video footage, Ritchson is seen retrieving his helmet, picking up his motorcycle, briefly losing control as it veers onto a lawn, then remounting and riding away, followed by the two young riders.

Ritchson shares three sons with his wife Catherine. The couple married in 2006 after meeting in a college dance class.

Beyond Reacher, Ritchson’s television credits include Smallville, Blue Mountain State, Blood Drive, and Titans. His film roles include Raphael in the 2014 and 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lazer Team, and Fast X.

In 2024, Ritchson publicly disclosed that he attempted suicide in 2019.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he stated that a vision of his sons convinced him to continue living.

Following the attempt, a doctor diagnosed him with bipolar disorder. “I was diagnosed as bipolar right after,” he said. “Deep down, I was comforted to know, ‘OK, there’s a name for this.'”Ritchson confirmed Reacher was renewed for a fourth season in October 2024.

The upcoming season, set for release in 2026, will follow Lee Child’s 2009 novel Gone Tomorrow.
