A reality TV actress was found dead at a friend’s home, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Denise Russo, 44, who starred in VH1’s 2011 reality series “The X Life” was found unresponsive on the floor of a friend’s San Diego apartment.
“911 was called and first responders arrived to the location,” a press release from the Medical Examiner’s Office explained. “Despite aggressive attempts at resuscitation, her death was pronounced.”
Drug paraphernalia was located on scene, according to the medical examiner’s statement.
Medical examiners have not declared a cause of death, noting San Diego police is conducting an investigation of her death.
Her next of kin have been notified, the medical examiner’s office stated.
The short-lived reality TV program she starred in followed the lives of three extreme sports athletes.
Cory “Nasty” Nastazio and his girlfriend Nicole Panattoni; Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg and his wife Susie Stenberg; and Russo with her boyfriend of the time, Pierre Luc Gagnon, were featured on the show, according to an IMDB report.
Russo and Gagnon ended their relationship after the one-season television series ended but shared custody of their eight-year-old son Leo, according to an E! Online report.
Stenberg remembered Russo as “the most loving and loyal person,” according to a TMZ report.
