Athlete and activist Riley Gaines has spoken out against the term “biological female,” claiming that the commonly used expression for cisgender women is redundant and propagandistic.
Gaines, a women’s sports advocate and host of OutKick’s “Gaines for Girls” podcast, is set to make an appearance on the forthcoming OutKick on Fox on Fox News Channel this Sunday. The program will feature several guests, including Enes Kanter Freedom and Mary Katharine Ham. These guests will engage in discussions on various subjects alongside hosts Clay Travis, Tomi Lahren and Charly Arnolt.
A significant topic of discussion revolves around the advocacy for fairness in women’s sports. Gaines expressed her strong aversion to a specific term “biological female.”
“The whole term of calling ourselves ‘biological females,’ I think it is so crazy and it took me a while to come to this conclusion really because it is true,” Gaines said. “We are biological females.”
“But adding that word biological, or cis, it’s admitting there is an un-biological alternative,” Gaines said. “And there is not. We are not biologically females. Well, we are. But I am done referring to myself as a biological female,” Gaines said. “I am done with the nonsense. I am done with the pandering.”
Gaines has been a vocal figure in discussions concerning transgender athletes in women’s sports. Her dedication to the cause has been evident in various events, including a National Girls and Women in Sports day event on Capitol Hill earlier this year.
The OutKick primetime special is scheduled to air this Sunday, August 27, at 10 p.m. ET on Fox News Channel.
