The Biden family saga continues to deepen as embarrassing potentially criminal implications flow in a steady stream of leaked information. Last week, 4chan announced they were in possession of new sensitive information from Hunter Biden’s iCloud account. On Tuesday, the Secret Service announced they were “keeping track of the allegations,” according to the Western Journal.
The Washington Examiner initially seemed to corroborate 4chan’s claims, posting on Sunday reported screenshots from Hunter Biden’s computer.
The Examiner later took down the post, ostensibly because some of the material could not immediately be verified.
Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, reported:
“At this time, we are not in a position to make public comments on potential investigative actions but I can assure you the Secret Service along with other federal law enforcement partners are aware of the social media posts and claims referencing Mr. Biden,” according to an NBC News report.
According to the Washington Examiner, Konstantinos Dimitrelos, a digital forensics expert and former Secret Service agent, reported that Hunter Biden’s iCloud account had been synced to his MacBook Pro and iPhone, thus making a hack possible.
Adding to the embarrassing and incriminating photos previously profiled by RTM and posted by RadarOnline, National Review reported that one video purportedly shows Hunter Biden measuring an amount of the drug crack while talking with a prostitute.
On Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, released video capturing discussion on the Senate floor. The video noted the desire for information on the many “serious unanswered questions” connected with a questionable investigation into Hunter Biden headed by David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney for Delaware.
Grassley said he and Sen. Ron Johnson, the ranking Republican on the Senate Permanent Committee on Investigations, asked Weiss if “he’s received sufficient resources and support from the Justice Department to properly execute the Hunter Biden case.”
Grassley noted that the U.S. Attorney for Delaware did not answer his letter sent in May.
“The failure of Mr. Weiss to answer that very important question adds to the growing congressional and public concern that the Justice Department is pulling its punches in the Hunter Biden case,” Grassley wrote.
“More stonewalling,” he added.
Grassley’s letter reads:
“Congress has a constitutional responsibility to ensure the proper execution of, and compliance with, conflicts of interest laws and regulations. …
“The failure of the Justice Department to comply with these rules will cause political infection to run rampant. That’ll rot the core of the Justice Department and cast a cloud over everything that it does. …
“As I’ve said before, the Justice Department’s failure to be transparent with the Hunter Biden criminal case, and recusals relating to it, has cast a cloud over this investigation. What is the Justice Department trying to hide? The American people’s concerns about how the case has been managed are legitimate.”
