Some have attempted to defend Hamas’ attack on Israel, arguing they acted without foreign support and were victimized Palestinians with no ties to terrorist groups or activities.
Evidence now shows the attack on Israel, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,000 civilians and scores of unimaginable atrocities — including raping teen females and beheading infants — was carried out with the support of Iran, Hezbollah and ISIS.
Fox News reported that ISIS, sometimes identified as ISIL or the Islamic State, is “a terror group that rose to prominence in 2014 when it declared a caliphate in Iraq and Syria.” ISIS is known for destroying national heritage sites and vicious war crimes across the Middle East.
The newest bit of damning evidence was an ISIS flag found in a vehicle used by a Hamas terrorist.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced the find, posting a picture of the ISIS flag on X: “Hamas brought ISIS flags to massacre Israeli children, women and men.
“Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organization. Hamas is worse than ISIS.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also announced that ISIS was connected with Hamas. In an address to the nation, Netanyahu said: “Just as ISIS was crushed, so too will Hamas be crushed and Hamas should be treated exactly the way ISIS was treated. They should be spit out from the community of nations. No leaders should meet them. No country should harbor them. And those that do should be sanctioned.”
Predicting tough days ahead, Netanyahu said, “There will be many difficult days ahead, but I have no doubt that the forces of civilization will win.”
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has attempted to stop Israel from responding to Saturday’s attack, meeting with Turkish leaders to put pressure on the small state that is now being attacked from the north and south.
Following backlash from many in the U.S., Blinken met with Netanyahu at The Kirya, which houses the Israeli Defense Ministry, and afterward acknowledged ISIS’ barbarity and the need for Israel to retaliate. During an Oct. 12 press conference, Blinken said:
“Hamas has only one agenda: to destroy Israel and to murder. No country can or would tolerate the slaughter of its citizens or simply return to the conditions that allowed it to take place. Israel has the right, indeed, the obligation to defend itself and to ensure that this never happens. So the prime minister and I discussed how Israel does this matters. Our humanity, the value that we place on human life and human dignity. That’s what makes us who we are. And we count them among our greatest strength.”
Blinken also pledged U.S. support, adding: “My message to Israel is this: ‘You may be strong enough on your own to defend yourself but as long as America exists, you’ll never have to.”
