Congressional members are feuding on the interweb and one of the doozies involves exchanges between Eric Swalwell and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Rep. Swalwell (D-CA) irked Rep. Taylor Greene (R-GA) with his below-the-belt swipe at Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA).
Clyde posted a video to Twitter describing how some congressional Democrats seemed triggered by AR-15 lapel pins he distributed to like-minded colleagues.
The California Democrat retweeted Clyde’s video with a caption asking, “Why is it so small?”
Swalwell may have vented on the Georgia Republican because he was booted from his plum assignment on the House Intelligence Committee last week. Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) kicked him from the panel with access to America’s deepest secrets because of his relationship with a known Chinese spy.
Swalwell has refused to say how intimate he became with his intern Christine Fang (aka Christine Fang) but intelligence officials note she had sex with at least two Midwestern mayors, according to a New York Post report. Fang reportedly left the U.S. in 2015 after she became the subject of a federal investigation into alleged espionage.
Taylor Greene added fuel to the fire by responding to Swalwell’s swipe at Clyde’s video.
“Questions only Fang Fang can answer,” the Georgian replied.
That tweet came the same day Taylor Greene taunted the Californian by linking him with the Chinese spy balloon flying above the U.S.
She posted a photo of a large white balloon with a message in large red letters. “Eric Happy Valentines Day. Love Fang Fang.” Taylor Greene captioned the post, which had been viewed more than 6 million times by Saturday, “Chinese Spy Balloon.”
“Don’t we have lasers to shoot that down?” responded Swalwell in an answering tweet.
Swalwell’s slam was a reference to comments Taylor Greene made in December 2021 that a Jewish space laser would shoot down Santa Claus. The Georgia Republican denies charges of antisemitism, but Democrats often bring that remark up when trying to discredit her.
