The News Medical Life Sciences publication disagrees that gender reassignment surgery should be celebrated, noting that many gender-reassignment patients show profound regret long after their procedures.
One patient profiled in their report, Charlie Evans from Newcastle, UK, is now an advocate for the growing number of gender-reassignment patients suffering from depression, regret, lingering pain and other medical issues. Evans stated:
Hundreds of people – just 30 in the Newcastle area alone – have contacted [me] seeking help, “I’m in communication with 19 and 20-year-olds who have had full gender reassignment surgery who wish they hadn’t, and their dysphoria hasn’t been relieved, they don’t feel better for it. They don’t know what their options are now.
A picture of one of Gallagher’s latest top surgery patients was proudly posted to Twitter — and drawing fierce condemnation on all social media platforms.

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon posted his feelings on the matter, stating simply: “Doctor poses for a picture with the child she just mutilated.”
@JoBoronte, a mother of four, noted that the body language of the younger says it all. “Everything [is] crossed, [he is] looking away … [there is] no smile … [he is clutching] a comfort toy.” She closes her tweet with the words “poor kid.”
Federalist contributor Chad Felix Greene wrote, “Layers of tragedy. A young girl convinced to hate her body and only feel joy at removing her femininity.”
“She’ll never find peace,” Greene continued. “Always performing pride but desperate for validation. She’ll become angry, bitter and hostile, only finding purpose in victimhood. Endless pain.”
The Redheaded Libertarian asked, “How is this happening in Florida?” noting that Gov. DeSantis’ state’s health department prohibits transgender surgeries for minors.
On April 20, Florida’s Department of Health released this statement:
Due to the lack of conclusive evidence, and the potential for long-term, irreversible effects, the Department’s guidelines are as follows: Social gender transition should not be a treatment option for children or adolescents. Anyone under 18 should not be prescribed puberty blockers or hormone therapy. Gender reassignment surgery should not be a treatment option for children or adolescents…Children and adolescents should be provided social support by peers and family and seek counseling from a licensed provider.
Florida followed Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s push to forbid gender reassignment surgeries on minors.
According to LifeSite News, the Biden administration is attempting to thwart efforts to restrict gender reassignment procedures on children.
Gallagher rejects efforts to restrict her procedures, recently complaining of growing pushback and government restrictions: “Patients are scared. They’re upset,” she told the Tampa Bay Times. “These are powerful bodies that are targeting them.”
Though initially denied last week, a staffer from the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., told Libs of TikTok that it performs so-called gender-affirming hysterectomies on girls younger than 16 years old.
According to The Daily Wire, Children’s National Hospital denies the whistle-blower’s claim, noting via an email to The Wire that it does “not provide gender-affirming surgery for anyone under the age of 18” and confirmed it doles out hormone therapy to children, but not “before puberty.”
