Tiffany Gomas, the woman in the widely circulated “he is not real” airplane video, is trying to rebuild her image and relaunch her social media career, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Gomas, 38, recently released photos on Instagram, claiming one incident should not define a person’s entire identity.
“One moment doesn’t define you; but it can define your purpose,” she said, referring to the incident where she accused a man at the back of an airplane of being “not real.”
The Texas native saw a surge in her follower count, exceeding 100,000 after the video went viral.
Her newest post, shared Sunday morning, quickly garnered over 13,000 likes. This support from her followers comes after the airplane incident that significantly increased her social media presence.
Gomas released an apology video in early August in which she referred to herself as “the crazy plane lady,” calling her viral meltdown her “very worst moment.”
“Hi everyone, it’s me – Tiffany Gomas, better known as the crazy plane lady,” Gomas said, “which is completely warranted. As you know, I have been unwilling to speak on the viral video, but I do finally feel that it’s time.”

The marketing executive tried to restore her public image after her actions aboard American Airlines flight 1009 from Dallas, Texas, to Orlando, Florida, went viral. She addressed them in a Daily Mail interview in mid-August.
“My life has been blown up,” she said, “It’s frightening. Things go viral and everything changes.”
She described her actions on the flight and DFW terminal afterward “completely unacceptable.” Gomas expressed remorse for her profanity and apologized to everyone on the plane that day, especially those with children.
The incident caused other passengers to deplane after Gomas expressed concerns about the plane’s safety. This reaction was reportedly triggered by a disagreement with a relative over stolen AirPods.
“The female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination,” Dallas police said in a report.
Gomas appears on Instagram dressed in jeans and a white tee shirt emblazoned with the hashtag “TMFINR,” referencing her words from the viral video: “That motherf***er is not real.”
Her rebranding will continue with future social media releases, through use of, she hints at, future hashtags like “#selflove,” “#empowerment,” “#motivation” and “#staytuned.”
It remains to be seen how the public will respond to her efforts to redefine her image and move forward from the incident.
