Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) raised four questions about President Joe Biden possessing classified government documents from when he was vice president. The Louisiana Republican questioned why the November 2 discovery of classified material at the Penn Biden Center was not revealed until this week.
A second batch of classified documents was reportedly found in the president’s garage, next to his parked Corvette since then. A third report said documents were found in a room of Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware house near the garage.
U.S. Attorney General appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Robert Hur as a special counsel to investigate Biden removing or retaining classified White House documents.
The Daily Wire further reported:
Classified documents from President Joe Biden’s tenure as Vice President keep turning up — in places ranging from his office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement to the garage at his Wilmington home — and Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) has just four questions he wants answered.
Kennedy joined hosts Sandra Smith and John Roberts Thursday on Fox News’ “America Reports” to discuss the still-unfolding situation — and the fact that Attorney General Merrick Garland had already moved to appoint a special counsel to investigate.
“I just find all of this surreal,” Kennedy told Smith and Roberts, comparing the recent turn of events to “a Quentin Tarantino movie” and arguing that everything that had transpired only confirmed what many people already believed about Washington, D.C.: “If it were not for double standards, there wouldn’t be any standards at all.”
Kennedy went on to say that he was not surprised to see that Garland had appointed a special counsel — and noted that, given the fact that he had appointed one to investigate former President Donald Trump for similar reasons, he may not have had much choice in the matter.
