Federal and local authorities thwarted an alleged mass shooting plot at Mooresville High School in Indiana after arresting 18-year-old Trinity “Jamie” Shockley on terrorism charges.

The arrest came following an anonymous tip about plans for an attack scheduled for Feb. 14, highlighting the critical role of public vigilance in preventing potential school violence.

The FBI received information through the Sandy Hook Promise’s Say Something Anonymous Reporting System on Feb. 11, warning that their friend was preparing to commit a shooting.

The tipster revealed that Shockley had ordered a bulletproof vest and had access to an AR-15, prompting immediate action from law enforcement agencies.

MORE TRANS TERRORISM

The investigation gained urgency when Shockley disclosed to a school counselor about corresponding with Parkland High School shooter Nikolas Cruz through letters while he remains imprisoned, WTHR reported.

Shockley’s apparent fixation with Cruz manifested in a particularly disturbing way – the suspect carried a heart-shaped locket containing Cruz’s photo.

A joint operation involving Mooresville police detectives, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office detectives and Mooresville School Police executed a search warrant at Shockley’s residence on Feb. 12.

The search revealed a troubling collection of evidence that pointed to an extensive fascination with mass shooters.

Law enforcement discovered multiple photographs of notorious killers Nikolas Cruz, Dylan Roof and Andrew Blaze displayed in Shockley’s bedroom, suggesting a pattern of idolization.

The search yielded additional concerning materials, including AR-15 magazines and .40 caliber ammunition located in the father’s bedroom.

Perhaps most alarming were three notebooks recovered from Shockley’s backpack, containing disturbing written content that ranged from declarations of love for mass shooters to explicit desires to cause harm.

WTHR noted that written statements included “I want to be just like Elliot Rodger” – referencing the perpetrator who killed six people in California in 2014 – and “Becoming the worst version of myself hurts but this needs to be done.”

Digital evidence strengthened the case against Shockley.

Discord messages obtained by investigators revealed the suspect’s alleged plans for what was termed a “Parkland part two,” with claims that the plot had been developing for a year.

The digital trail included photographs of 10 AR-15 magazines and discussions about purchasing body armor.

A particularly chilling message sent on Feb. 10 stated “4 more days,” apparently counting down to the planned Valentine’s Day attack.

When confronted by investigators, Shockley attempted to downplay the severity of the situation, claiming the messages were merely jokes and expressing an apparent desire to become a “gun activist to help people get out of that mindset.”

The suspect also cited experiences of school bullying as a contributing factor to their behavior.

The Morgan County Prosecutor’s Office has responded to the severity of the threat by filing multiple serious charges against Shockley, including conspiracy to commit murder and two counts of intimidation and threat to commit terrorism.

The suspect remains held in Morgan County Jail without bond, reflecting the gravity of the allegations.

In a recent case that involved another trans-identifying suspect, Resist the Mainstream reported late January on a nationwide manhunt for a person accused of supplying weapons used in the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Vermont.

The suspect, Michelle Jacqueline Zajko, 32, was considered “armed and dangerous” and also wanted in connection with a double homicide in Pennsylvania.

Law enforcement had issued alerts across multiple states, intensifying their efforts to locate Zajko who has a history of using aliases including “Jacqueline Conner” and “Jamie Zajko.”
