Multiple legacy news and left-leaning talk shows are turning on President Joe Biden.
Joining CNN and The New York Times, a host on “The View” has acknowledged probable Biden family’s involvement in illegal activity.
During Wednesday’s broadcast, co-host Sunny Hostin suggested that despite denials from the White House, there is evidence that Biden and his family sold influence and government access to foreign entities.
The Daily Wire reported that while “The View” hosts discussed the impending impeachment inquiry, Hostin noted that then-Vice President Biden likely allowed his son Hunter to profit from the Biden name.
“People are going to be shocked,” Hostin said. “I completely agree with that. I think that there has been some — shocking, right? I think that there has been some impropriety. I think that there are instances where Hunter Biden, in an attempt to show access to the vice presidency, the vice president’s office, made phone calls to ‘Daddy.’”
“I think we have the situation with [Hunter Biden’s] work in Ukraine, we have the situation with his work in China, there’s no way that political influence wasn’t a part of that,” Hostin added.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin disagreed, saying: “I think there is impropriety related to Joe Biden’s involvement with Hunter; I think there have been some misrepresentations … but I have yet to see evidence of a crime.”
“I have yet to see … something that’s evidence of a crime,” Griffin reiterated, adding that the bar for impeachment is for “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Hostin concluded the segment: “I don’t like nepotism across the board,” she continued, then resumed her criticism of former President Donald Trump.
“I understand there’s real concern there but what is upsetting to me is that … [the] Republican Party is trivializing what impeachment is,” Hostin complained, arguing that Biden was likely going to be impeached for things that did not approach the level of “high crimes” and insisting that the accusations against Trump regarding the Ukraine phone call were far worse.
