A transgender employee of a British Starbucks franchise has been fired, following an incident in which this individual was caught on video snapping at a customer over supposed “transphobia.”
On April 30, a British woman identified as Vanessa Thomas was attempting to order coffee from a Starbucks in Southampton when an argument broke out with an employee of that location.
The employee apparently identifies as a gender which does not match the aforesaid employee’s biological sex, with a tall stature and masculine voice in tension with this individual’s ponytail and feminine affect.
The video of this employee’s altercation with Thomas has since gone viral, racking up thousands of views and public outcry against the belligerent employee.
“Don’t ever call me transphobic! Ever! You do not know me!” Thomas exclaims towards the beginning of the clip.

“You are transphobic, now get out!” the employee reiterated while clapping tersely for emphasis.
Thomas asks for a refund for her purchase but is told “you’re not getting one,” as the argument ensues with the transgender employee accusing Thomas of “trespassing” in the coffee establishment. After some more redundant bickering, the employee is seen walking toward the person filming (identified as Vanessa’s romantic partner Mark) and appears to attack him.
It is unclear how the argument began, as the clip begins after it has already become heated. However, Thomas claims that the video only shows a portion of the entire incident, which she claims involved an act of assault against her by the location’s manager.
“The video does not tell you the whole story. It was very frightening and shocking. The Starbucks manager grabbed me and threw me out of the café. I could have been seriously hurt or even killed because if Mark hadn’t caught me, I would have crashed onto the pavement,” Thomas told The Daily Mail.
A spokesman for Starbucks told the press that the aforesaid individual has been fired, adding that the location where this incident occurred is not owned by Starbucks Corporation but rather by a local franchisee.
The U.K. has at times expressed greater resistance to transgender ideology when compared to the United States, causing activists to malign the nation as “TERF Island.” Even the progressive Labour Party has tolerated considerable dissent on trans issues from its members in contrast to the U.S.’s docile obedience when the most radical claims about gender identity are parroted by politicians of the Democratic party.
However, despite a greater culture of skepticism towards trans ideology, the U.K. has also been challenged to adopt more trans-inclusive policies by activists and members of the community. The incident filmed last month was just one of numerous incidents in which the transgender culture war has erupted in fits of shouting and physical violence in the kingdom of Albion, as the progeny of Hengist and Horsa debate over how to address these disruptions to their culture.
