President Trump on Sunday night defended a group of his pickup truck driving supporters who sparked an FBI investigation by surrounding a Joe Biden campaign bus on a Texas interstate.
“In my opinion, these patriots did nothing wrong,” the president tweeted about the Friday incident that led to at least one minor collision and prompted the Biden campaign to cancel several events in the state.
“Instead, the FBI & Justice should be investigating the terrorists, anarchists, and agitators of ANTIFA, who run around burning down our Democrat-run cities and hurting our people!” the president wrote.
The confrontation caught the attention of Trump on Saturday, who tweeted a clip of the incident with his praise: “I LOVE TEXAS!”
