It is no secret that former President Donald Trump enjoys mudslinging and disparaging opponents with unflattering monikers.
Former Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany found herself in Trump’s crosshairs on Tuesday after suggesting on Fox News that the former president should stop commenting on Nikki Haley and focus on the election.
Surprising few, Trump responded quickly to McEnany’s comments, calling her a “RINO” (Republican in name only) and suggesting she should “Save your advice for Nikki!”
Trump posted on his Truth Social Platform: “I don’t need any advice from RINO Kayleigh McEnany on Fox. Just had a GIANT VICTORY over a badly failing candidate, ‘Birdbrain,’ and she’s telling me what I can do better. Save your advice for Nikki!”

McEnany angered Trump when she suggested the former president had vulnerabilities and should refocus his campaign to target President Joe Biden.
“If I’m Trump, I sit back, and I exclusively focus on the general election. I take the posture of a presumptive nominee. I focus on No. 1, uniting the party, and No. 2, winning the independents, which Nikki Haley won 55%-39%,” McEnany said. “That’s what I would do.”
McEnany added that a recent poll showed that almost 70% of those who voted for Haley in New Hampshire stated they would not vote for Trump in the general election.
Nikki Haley came in third in Ohio’s primary and second in New Hampshire — trailing Trump by approximately 11 points. Notably, following Iowa’s primary, second-place finisher Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his campaign, stating there was “no clear path to victory over Trump.”
Some have expressed disappointment that Trump seems quick to take the low road and belittle those who challenge him — particularly when the two women referenced here were hired by Trump and invited to serve in high positions during his presidency.
Fox News also found itself targeted by Trump, who complained the network has swung to the left. Trump wrote: “CNN & MSDNC TREATED MY BIG, DOUBLE DIGIT VICTORY OVER BIRDBRAIN, BETTER THAN FOX!”
