Fox News host Tucker Carlson has given a new update of his team’s ongoing investigation into the controversial death of Jeffrey Epstein, revealing that the 911 phone calls of Epstein’s death had been deleted by the jail where he was detained.
On “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the show’s namesake revealed a new development in his ongoing investigation of the death of financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2019, which many believe to be attributable to suicide.
Carlson told his audience about his fruitless attempt to procure the 911 calls made in the aftermath of Epstein’s death from the Metropolitan Correctional Center. The host reported that the jail told him they were “well past the twelve month retention period” for the audio record. He also claimed that his team reached out to the FBI for the same phone calls but says that they received no response from the federal agency.
The notorious financier and socialite Epstein was convicted of soliciting a prostitute and procuring child prostitution in 2008 but served only thirteen months in custody thanks to a plea bargain negotiated by his savvy lawyer Alan Dershowitz.
Epstein shortly resumed his unscrupulous lifestyle, but those halcyon days were numbered: The financier was arrested again in July of 2019 on charges of sex trafficking of minors. He was found dead in August of that year while in custody, and the circumstances surrounding his death have aroused enduring curiosity and suspicion.
While the official medical examiner concluded that Epstein’s death was the result of a suicide by hanging, skeptics have pointed to notable irregularities in the official story to suggest that the exploitative businessman was murdered to conceal the secrets of his powerful associates.
Theories about foul play in the death of Epstein have enjoyed widespread support. A Rasmussen poll conducted the month of his death found that only 29% of Americans polled believed that Epstein committed suicide, compared to 42% who believed that the financier was murdered to prevent him from divulging the secrets of the powerful.
Among those 42% is the host of the highest-rated cable news program in America: one Tucker Carlson, who has continued to raise awareness of the anomalies in the official narrative.
“It’s very obvious he was killed,” Carlson said during Wednesday’s show. “The more you look at the details that we have, the more clear it is that somebody got inside the most secure federal lockup in our most populated city and murdered Jeffrey Epstein.”
The apparent deletion of the 911 calls will do little to assuage the skepticism of those like Carlson who doubt the official narrative of Epstein’s death.
